SURFING THROUGH LIFE

Most people go through life just surfing it, and by surfing, I mean, they take the easy route by following society, fashion, and/or whatever else is the mode at the moment without questioning it, without rebelling, and without even realizing what is happening with them and to them. They just do what they are told, believe what they were taught or told, and do what is expected from them. There is nothing wrong with living like this, but is this the way YOU want to live?

If we live just to live; if we are just born, grow, procreate, and die as we were told; then we are just another simple creature on this planet. The question is: are we just another creature on this planet? For some reason, we were given, or have, the most advanced nervous system, which differentiates us from the rest of the creatures. The difference is that, at least, the other creatures live to their full potential. A dog does what a dog does and as such it lives its life to its fullest potential; a tiger does what a tiger does and as such it lives its life to its fullest potential; an ant does what an ant does and as such it lives its life to its fullest potential; and so on.

But what about human beings? Are we living to our fullest potential? The answer is “no”, at least not for most of the population, a little more than three quarters of the world population. If we do not wake up and realize that life is not about conforming, working and making more money or amassing more belongings in the way of material things, relationships, knowledge, etc., then we are not living to our fullest potential. Only when we realize that we are more than a body and a mind and that we are not material but spiritual or energetic in essence, can we start working on living to our fullest potential, which is infinite and eternal.

So only at that moment, can we realize that life is amazing and simply beautiful and that life cannot be surfed but has to be swam. Society wants us to be the same, to have a skill, to produce, to be complacent, to behave, and to live and leave (die) quietly. In other words, it wants us to be working bees or orange trees, everyone the same regardless our nature and abilities as individuals. But what if I am not a bee but a horse, a dog, or a lion; or not an orange tree, but a coconut tree, an apple tree, or an almond tree. By standardizing us through education, entertainment, and propaganda, they have robbed us of our full potential. And we have been complacent, asleep, and completely dumbed-down. We have drunk the Kool-Aid and have been living this way all of our lives.

But isn’t living just to live a crime against ourselves and humanity? We must question everything; must continue seeking the truth, who we are, what we can be; and must work hard at it, every day, with every thought, word, and action. We all can be geniuses in our own way. This here is the greatest opportunity available to us. We have been given a body and a mind to come and make this the most wonderful, enriching experience. But this experience is not given to us for free. We cannot surf it; we must swim it. We must work at it steadily, with patience, and with a lot of perseverance. Infinite is the limit!
